Many Mexican university libraries use the Library of Congress Classification system, just like UNC libraries. In spite of this, you may find that some books, especially those that deal with history or politics, have different call numbers than you would find in the United States. Some libraries use the Dewey Decimal Classification system, and others create their own classification systems, to reflect their library's collection. If you do not understand the system used in your library, or have trouble locating materials, ask a librarian for assistance.
Major libraries in Mexico, including major public libraries in urban centers and university libraries, have an online catalog system, like UNC-Chapel Hill Libraries Catalog, for which the search terms are similar: title, author, subject, etc. You can always ask a librarian for assistance if you have trouble with the catalog.
