Library Research Tutorial
About this Tutorial
The Library Research Tutorial is a series of Web-based, self-paced modules designed to help you learn how to find, evaluate and manage information in an increasingly complex information environment. The tutorial introduces you to some important search concepts and guides you in the use of the UNC-Chapel Hill library system.
The tutorial's modular design allows it to be completed in any order. It can also be used as a source of reference for any interested researcher. Throughout the tutorial, you will find a series of questions you can use to test your level of understanding. There is also an optional quiz to further assess your knowledge.
While it can stand on it's own, the tutorial serves as a prerequisite for those students attending the required library session for English Composition 100, 101, and 102.
The tutorial will be updated regularly. We encourage and invite all users' to share their comments and suggestions for the tutorial and we look forward to hearing from you.
The tutorial was developed by Suchi Mohanty in the Undergraduate Library; Lisa Norberg and Kim Vassiliadis, University Library and updated by Karen Sobel of the School of Information and Library Science.
