Basic Search

There are several ways you can search for books in the library catalog. We'll start by looking at Basic Search. When you conduct a Basic Search, the catalog auomatically searches for all the words that you enter across the most common fields, including author, title, and subject.

The basic search page also has a drop down menu that allows you to choose which fields you want to search in. The first option allows you to search "anywhere." If you want to be more specific, you can choose to search for words that appear in the particular fields, such as title or author.
