Like many academic library systems, UNC maintains a number of different libraries and collections.
Because of its size and the breadth of its collections, Davis Library is considered the main UNC-Chapel Hill library. However, it is just one of the many libraries on campus. Davis Library houses the main book and journal collections for the humanities and the social sciences. Davis also houses government information services, microforms, the Maps Collection, and Geographic Information Systems resources and services.
