Reserves refers to supplemental course materials, such as sample tests and readings from books and articles. These are made available to students through the library. Most materials are digitized and made available through the libraries E-Reserves system, which means they can be accessed online.

For items that have not been digitized, such as entire books, the Undergrad Library, as well as many other UNC libraries, maintains print reserves collections. To access print reserves, you need to look up the appropriate call number, come to the library, and photocopy or check out the materials you need.
