Position Title: Student Assistant Davis Library Federal Documents/Microforms
Position Description:
| The Student Assistant will be cross-trained to work with both the Federal Documents and Microforms Collections. Duties will include a) sorting, stamping, recording statistics, bar coding, shelving, and shifting a variety of formats such as print, microforms, maps, posters, CD's and DVD's, b) helping patrons find and use microform materials on the microforms equipment, c) scanning documents and articles from paper, fiche and film, and d) special projects as assigned.
The successful candidates will be: dependable, flexible, detail oriented, able to work alone or with others, comfortable with basic computer software, able to write legibly, proficient in writing and speaking English, able to follow oral and written instructions and have a sense of humor. Microforms shifts include daytime hours as well as rotating weekend shifts. The current need is from May 2013 through August 2013 with a possibility of continuing into Fall 2013. Wage: $7.25 hr.
