Working Title: UL Overnight Circulation Supervising Attendant - Morning liaison
Salary: $11/hour - $12.50/hour

Sunday - Thursday nights - 2:30AM-7:30AM

The Overnight Circulation Supervising Attendant -Morning liaison is one of the representatives of the Undergraduate Library during the second portion of its overnight service hours, 2:30AM-7:30AM. They are responsible for providing excellent library-oriented customer service and ensure the safety of the library patrons and building facilities along with supervising student assistants.

Primary duties include checking in/out materials from several different collections, directing students to needed resources, providing entry-level support for students' queries, supervising student assistants, and communicating problematic or unusual situations to the appropriate day-time staff members.

A successful candidate will have an eye for detail; an ability to multitask; strong oral and written communication skills; be self-motivated; a willingness to learn, retain, and appropriately apply library policy; be able to remain calm under pressure; and to tactfully and courteously respond to library patrons; and be able to supervise student assistants and follow the supervision of the Overnight Circulation Supervisor. Ability to use email. Must be able to work independently at complex tasks. Must be dependable in keeping scheduled hours.

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalency and two years experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred
Previous library experience, particularly supervisory experience. Experience with Innovative Millennium Library software. Two years of college helpful.
