2011 LAUNC-CH Conference - Staying Vital in a Time of Change

March 7th, 2011

Emerging technologies, the information explosion, and budgetary pressures are societal factors forcing librarians to continuously redefine and reinvent their roles as information providers, educators, and community advocates. The conference committee is calling for presentations that examine the changing nature of the library as an institution and of the librarian as a profession, with an emphasis on practices and strategies that strive to keep the institution and the profession a vital and vibrant contributor to education, research and the community.
