Abstract Typed transcript. Diary of Alison of Dallas County, Ala., surgeon in the Confederate Army stationed at Pensacola, Fla., in
the summer and early winter of 1861 and in Mississippi thereafter, describing daily activities, medical facilities, and the
medical situation at Vicksburg. There are gaps in the spring of 1862 and between 30 June and 26 December 1862. The diary ends
with the fall of Vicksburg, 4 July 1863.
