Scope and Content
The scrapbook contains 41 pages of mounted clippings dated 1860-1888 primarily related to Colonel Julian Allen and his activities in business, politics, social reform, and progressive farming. Enclosed in the scrapbook are about 40 loose clippings similar to those in the scrapbook and a commission appointing Allen as an alternate delegate to the National Farmers Congress of November 1889.
