Abstract
Colonel Julian Allen came from Russian Poland to New Orleans in 1849, lived in New York from 1850, aided the United States government in connection with Sherman's occupation of Savannah, Ga., and settled after the war near Statesville in Iredell County, N.C., where he was prominent in farming. Scrapbook containing newspaper clippings and a few other items chiefly concerning Julian Allen's activities in business, politics, social reform, and progressive farming.
