| Abstract | Elizabeth Willis Gloster Anderson was an Episcopalian of Warrenton, N.C., LaGrange, Tenn., and Texas. The collection includes typescript copies of religious advice for her children and memoranda concerning family births, deaths, moves, etc., written by Elizabeth Willis Gloster Anderson, and genealogical data and copies of wills and other family records of the Anderson family, Beveridge family, and Cameron family, probably compiled by Mary May Anderson in the 1940s. The religious advice consists of spiritual and religious instruction, and excerpts from sermons, hymns, and scripture. |

Information
Elizabeth Willis Gloster Anderson (fl. 1822-1862) was the daughter of Dr. Thomas Ben Gloster, who came from Ireland to North Carolina in 1786. She married John Anderson of Warrenton, N.C. Elizabeth and John moved from Warrenton to La Grange, Tenn., 1827, and she to Texas in 1859 after her husband's death in 1848.

Scope and Content
The collection includes typescript copies of religious advice for her children and memoranda concerning family births, deaths, moves, etc., written by Elizabeth Willis Gloster Anderson, an Episcopalian; and genealogical data and copies of wills and other family records of the Anderson, Beveridge, and Cameron families in Scotland, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, probably compiled by Mary May Anderson in the 1940s. The religious advice consists of spiritual and religious instruction, and excerpts from sermons, hymns, and scripture.
