Scope and Content
The collection includes correspondence and collected materials of Samuel E. Asbury related to his historical interest in North Carolinians in the Texas Republic. Included are materials on Robert Potter and a typed transcription of an autobiography by Harriet A. Ames, describing life on the Texas frontier. There is also a type transciption of the autobiography of Mrs. Ann Raney Thomas and a guide to notable contents.
