Abstract Moravian minister and bishop in Lancaster, Pa., who moved to Salem, N.C., in 1849. Diary, 1845-1846, of Bahnson, kept in a
book in which daily devotions printed in German alternate with blank pages for diary entries. Bahnson kept his diary (in English)
while he was serving as preacher and teacher in Lancaster, Pa. He recorded church and school affairs, congregational visits,
personal and family events, and pious reflections.
