Oliver Roger Barrett (1873-1950), lawyer, author, and collector of Chicago, Ill. Four letters, 1925-1929, to Oliver Rogers Barrett. In one letter, author Julia Mood Peterkin of Fort Motte, S.C., recalled her mother's hatred of Abraham Lincoln. Another letter, from Raymond William Adams of Chapel Hill, N.C., concerns Henry David Thoreau and Barrett's collection of Thoreau materials.
