Abstract Sallie Wood Moore was born in Hertford County, N.C. She married Samuel James Calvert (1856-1944) in 1878. The Calverts lived
in Jackson, Northampton County, N.C., and had five children. Chiefly correspondence, 1876-1885, between Sallie Moore Calvert
and her husband, including love letters and letters about various family affairs. A few letters from other family members
are also included.
