Abstract:      Chiefly financial papers of various Wilson, N.C.,
           residents, some of whom were members of the Carr,
           Barnes, or Branch families, including estate
           inventories and papers relating to the hiring of
           slaves and the renting of land.  Also included is some
           correspondence, 1859, concerning the building and
           financing of a girls' school in Wilson.
