The collection contains material compiled by William Johnston Cocke about William Michael Cocke, including newspaper interviews and biographical tributes; Cocke's address on the death of John Quincy Adams; transcriptions of Cocke family letters, 1815- 1832; two photographs; and a sketch of his grandfather William Cocke, Indian fighter and United States senator.
