Abstract Ellen Long Daniel was the widow of Confederate General Junius Daniel (1828-1864). The collection includes a scrapbook compiled
by Ellen Long Daniel, chiefly containing clippings and articles about the Civil War and the Confederacy; miscellaneous diplomas
and certificates of Ellen and Junius Daniel; and two hand-drawn maps, one of the United States Military Academy at West Point,
N.Y., by Junius Daniel, circa 1848, and one of Newport News and Smithfield, Va., and vicinity, undated.
