Jefferson Davis (1808-1889) was a Mississippi planter and president of the Confederate States of America.

The collection contains scattered letters to friends from Jefferson Davis and other items, including a typescript of a letter from Judah P. Benjamin, 1880, and a letter from A. D. Heineman to Davis, 1863.
