The collection includes correspondence, chiefly 1820-1880, deeds, wills, bills and receipts, indentures, accounts, estate settlements, and papers relating to the property of John Elliot and members of his family. Includes general cash books for a firm in Carter County, Ky, and account books related to the settlement of an estate. There is a letter, 1789, from Samuel Johnston.
