Abstract: Willie Snow Ethridge was a columnist, author of
volumes of humorous reminiscences and other works,
recipient of honorary degrees from the University of
Kentucky and Mercer University, resident of Chatham
County, N.C., in the 1960s and 1970s, and wife of Mark
Foster Ethridge, editor and publisher of the
Louisville Courier-Journal, 1942-1962.
Typescripts of unpublished book-length writings by
Ethridge about her husband, Mark Foster Ethridge;
newspaper clippings about Ethridge and her husband;
items related to the Ethridges' housein Chatham
County, N.C.; and about seventy-five letters to
Ethridge, including fifty from her husband.
