Joshua Evans was a Quaker minister from New Jersey. The collection includes an autobiography, 1731-1793, and diary, 1793-1798, of Evans while he traveled through Canada, New England, the Mid-Atlantic states, the South-Atlantic states, and Tennessee. Entries follow his spiritual life as well as his travels and Quaker meetings he attended.
