                     FLORIDA MEMORANDA BOOK
                            Inventory

Abstract: Memoranda book with lists dates, tools, and food
furnished by various slaveowners, perhaps for a public
construction project, near Fernandina or White Spring,
Fla., in 1864. Included are names of persons who were
to serve as overseers and notations relating to slave
deaths and occasions when slaves ran away or were
permitted to return home. The context for entries is
           obscure.
