The collection includes Henderson Monroe Fowler's diaries, 1871-1889 and 1907, containing brief entries relating to textile mill work and workers, neighborhood news, the weather, and Edwin Michael Holt and his family. Enclosed in one of the diaries is a contemporary copy of a court record of 1815 and other items. Also included is a volume of miscellaneous accounts.
