Abstract Bernard G. Greenberg, professor of biostatistics, founder and chair of the Department of Biostatistics, dean of the School of Public Health, and organizer of the Division of Community Health Service at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Greenberg's chief research interests were in survey and analysis techniques relating to health and disease. Chiefly office files documenting Greenberg's professional career. Much of the material relates to committees on which Greenberg served and national and international professional societies in which he was active. Included are items relating to Greenberg's various capacities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: professor of biostatistics, founder and cahir of the Department of Biostatistics, dean of the School of Public Health and organizer of the Division of Community Health Service. Also included are materials reflecting Greenberg's research interests in survey and analysis techniques relating to health and disease.

Two complete copies (11 microfilm cartridges each) relating to Greenberg's "Pierre the Pelican" study, which documented child training and rearing practices in North Carolina. Also included are paper guidelines called "Microfilming Procedures for Pierre the Pelican," which display the scope and content of the study, and a note, dated 3 January 1973, announcing the completion of the microfilming project.
