County, Tenn.; and itemized bills, 1881-1885, of Newt J. Dodson, Nashville, Tenn. The letters from Hamlin include nine written
in 1864-1865, while he was a prisoner at Johnson's Island, Ohio, especially concerning procedures for gaining his release,
and letters in 1865 about starting a cotton farm outside Nashville, Tenn.
