N.C., for the 48th North Carolina Regiment.
Business and military papers. Business papers, 1846-1850, are bills,
advertisements, correspondence, and other items relating to an apparent dry
goods merchant. Military papers, 1862-1865, include muster rolls,
vouchers, special requisitions for the sick, and other quartermaster's
records, including weekly accounts of forage received by Hanes as
quartermaster, 1864-1865.
