Bill Herron (1943-) was a North Carolina-based author of poems, plays, and fiction. Published works include American Peasant, The Boy Christ's Ecstasy, and Rituals of Our Time.

The collection contains drafts and published works of Bill Herron (1934-). Included are typescripts of novels, novellas, collected stories, poems, and plays, letters, a 1977-1978 European travel diary, translated works, poetry reviews, songs, and other writings by Herron. Also included are tape recordings of an interview with Herron and his musical play, "Stoney."
