Abstract John K. Hoyt was a viticulturist and vintner at Engadine Vineyards in West Asheville, N.C. The collection includes a volume of records, March 1892-January 1894, kept by Hoyt at the vineyard. Records include a daily accounting of work in the vineyard, details of farm activities, personal matters and weather; accounts of wages, supplies, bottles, advertising, and fertilizer; and records of shipments.
