Abstract Typed transcription. Diary, 28 March-28 August 1862, of Kauffman, a soldier of the 10th Virginia Regiment, Confederate States
of America, campaigning in Virginia, primarily in the Shenandoah Valley. Until his death at the Battle of Second Manassas,
Kauffman made daily entries, describing his activities, particularly travelling in wagons with other invalids. Maps, notes
made in 1940, and an index are included.
