Scope and Content
The collection includes the papers of J. H. King including one letter from Samuel Forkner, state senator from Surry County, N.C., commenting on recent elections and King's inquiry about a job. Also included are two forms, 1870, relating to a prisoner, Josiah Henderson, and a receipt, 1871, to King from the state treasurer for Lincoln County taxes.
