Abstract Franz Kunst worked for the Southern Folklife Collection, 1999-2000. He was program director of radio station WXYC at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1993-2002. The collection is a group of posters collected by Franz Kunst following the closure of Roots Records in Carrboro, N.C. Included are posters and photographs advertising performances and recording releases by performers working in various genres of American vernacular music. Also included are posters advertising festivals and traveling tours that feature multiple artists.
