items, 1916-1931, from the papers of Gen. Crowder (1859-1932), consisting
chiefly of his correspondence with Gen. Hugh S. Johnson about selective
service and other matters; and letters, 1939-1944, relating to Lockmiller's
"The Consolidation of the University of North Carolina" (1942), clippings
about the book, and correspondence with Joseph Morrison at the University
of North Carolina about the latter's biography of Governor O. Max Gardner.
