Scope and Content
The collection includes correspondence of Edward J. Moore, his wife Eunice, and their daughters Carrie, Lucy, and Augusta, of Wilmington, N.C., including a few letters from Confederate soldiers, one with the 4th North Carolina Regiment, serving in Virginia and North Carolina, 1863-1864, and from friends and relatives in North Carolina, traveling in Mexico, 1880-1884, and scattered across the country. Volumes contain Moore family genealogical notes. There are also some apparently unrelated photographs.
