The collection includes seven letters to his family in Goshen, N.Y., from Henry Spence Murray, while a United States Army captain serving in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and at a parole camp in Annapolis, Md. The letters tell of friends from home seen at camp, troop movements, and other activity.
