Correspondence, legal papers, and notes of Alfred Nixon, local historian and attorney of Lincoln County, N.C., and of his descendants, Kemp Battle Nixon and Joseph R. Nixon, superintendent of schools in Lincoln County in the 1920s; and a record book, 1885-1889, kept by J. A. Munday, concerning his work as justice of the peace of Lincoln County.
