The North Carolina Adult Education Association, affiliated with the Adult Education Association of the U.S.A., is a professional organization of adult educators aiming to further the cause of continuing adult education in North Carolina and to support the efforts of its membership.

Records of the North Carolina Adult Education Association include correspondence of officers, minutes of executive and other committees; minutes, agenda, ballots, programs, and other material about annual conferences; reports; memoranda; handbooks; newsletters; and photographs all relating to the group's efforts to promote adult education in North Carolina. Material relating to the Southeastern Association for Adult Education is also included.
