The collection is chiefly letters from Mary Bayley Pratt in Chapel Hill, N.C., to members of her family and a few related family items. The letters are to Pratt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bayley of Springfield, Ohio, and to her brothers and their wives, Lee and Beatrice Barton Bayley and William D. and Louise Pratt Bayley. The letters give personal, family, and community news.
