Information
James Daniel Richardson was a Democratic United States Representative from Tennessee, 1885-1905. Richardson practiced law at Murfreesboro, Tenn., and served in the state legislature. He was prominent in the Democratic Party organization and in Scottish Rite Masonry. About 1893 he began to prepare the compilation of the Messages and Papers of the Presidents, 1789-1897.
