Abstract The collection contains Family Notes Made by Christopher C. Scott, 1848-1854, and an item about Scott from the Van Buren (Ark.) Intelligencer, 1854. Family Notes consists of recollections, 37 pages, of Scott's early life and education in Virginia, histories of his extended family connections
from colonial times, and few items pertaining to his political career in Arkansas, 1848-1854, as an opponent of the Robert
W. Johnson organization.
