Scope and Content
The collection includes an account book, 1855-1860, of the grist mill owned by North Carolina Governor Henry Toole Clark (1808-1874) in Edgecombe County, N.C. There is also a volume containing a merchandise ledger, 1800-1801, and list of North Carolina Revolutionary War officers, compiled by Clark. Enclosed in the ledger is a bill, 1867, addressed to Clark from M. E. Bond, a milliner of Tarboro, N.C.
