Abstract Anne Hinman Broun married Richard Richardson Singleton (1840-1900) in 1868. The collection contains family correspondence of Anne Singleton, primarily letters received, 1860s through 1880, from her parents, Abby H. and John P. Broun, and related members of the Day and Singleton families of Kershaw and Sumter counties, S.C., and Georgia. Also included, on microfilm, are business papers, 1822-1845, of Colonel Richard Singleton (1776-1852), trustee for the Broun family.
