Scope and Content
The collection includes legal papers of Archibald Aaron Tyson Smith including bills of complaint, bills of injunction, petitions, bonds, deeds, scattered letters, briefs, and notes. There are also miscellaneous items including scrapbook pages, 1878-1880; poems, 1847-1850s; and an inventory of assets of an unidentified store, 1890s. Some persons mentioned in the papers include James Hogg, Lewis Barge, Owen B. Wightman, Mary H. Smith, Carolin Smith, Christian F. Davis, Jessie W. Powers, Edwin M. Holt, E. R. Holt, Thomas H.
