The collection is a record made by Studwell during an investigatory tour of the state, of the financial worth, reliability, prospects, and reputation of retailers at 38 locations in North Carolina. Towns to which three or more pages are devoted are Concord, Charlotte, Greenville, Greensboro, Henderson, Louisburg, New Bern, Plymouth, and Washington.
