Howard Wilbur Thomas was an artist and teacher, professor and administrator of Wisconsin State Teachers College, 1930-1942; the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, 1942-1943; Agnes Scott College, 1943-1945; and the University of Georgia, 1945-1965. Personal and professional papers of Thomas, including correspondence, exhibition catalogs, notes, lectures, and other materials related to his work and teaching. Correspondents include Josef Albers, George Barford, Edward W. Bramlette, Erwin M. Breithaupt, Howard Conant, George Cress, Lamar Dodd, Berry Fleming, R. Buckminster Fuller, Carl Holty, Morris Knight, Lamar Lynes, Patricia Marie Minser, Robert Von Newmann, Abbott Pattison, James J. Sweeney, Gudmud Vigtel, Betty A. Wallace, Ferdinand E.
