• Tyler Family (#4810)

Ernest Rudolph Tyler was born on 14 May 1886, the son of John Edward and Marth Adelia Capehart Tyler. He studied law at the University of North Carolina, 1912-1914; married Ethel Leigh Pierce, 12 September 1917; and settled at Oaklana, Roxobel, Bertie County, N.C. He was a member of the Episcopal Church.

The collection includes correspondence, court documents, financial materials, and other papers, 1880s-1950s, chiefly relating to lawyer  Ernest Rudolph Tyler's law practice and life in Roxobel, N.C. Also included is some information on Tyler's activity with the Democratic Party and his election as solicitor.
