Minutes of the board of trustees of Vine Hill Academy, Scotland Neck,
Halifax County, N.C., 1812-1893, and a few related items.  During the years
covered by these minutes Vine Hill Academy was apparently a day school for
both boys and girls.  There are gaps for the years 1822-1830 and 1858-1863.
Related items include a letter, 1893, explaining why the board had decided
to replace the female principal with a male.
