     On March 19, 1887, the Beta Chapter of the Delta Kappa
Epsilon Fraternity was reorganized at the University of North
Carolina, twenty-one years after it had been disbanded in 1866. 
The records of the Chapter consist of ten volumes covering the
period from the reorganization to 1967.  Five of the volumes are
oversize (indicated below by S).
