Historical Information
From the appointment of Louis Round Wilson as University Librarian in 1901 until 1961, the Library's financial records were maintained by the Librarian or one of his assistants. On 1 September 1961, Charles Schliecker was appointed Library Business Manager (later Assistant University Librarian for Planning and Finance) with responsibility for accounting, budgetary and facilities planning, and the upkeep of library buildings. On 7 July 1975, Alfred Sharlip succeeded Schliecker as Assistant Librarian.
