Abstract The Associate Vice President for Finance and University Property Officer was an administrative official in the Division of Finance of the General Administration of the University of North Carolina (System). One of the main responsibilities of this official was to coordinate capital improvement projects. Records include correspondence, field reports, bid documents, successful proposals, project plans, final reports, and other records related to construction and renovation projects undertaken by the University of North Carolina (System) General Administration. Projects represented in the records include additions and renovations to the General Administration building, the State Education Assistance Authority building, the University of North Carolina Television building, and the President of the University of North Carolina System's residence. Files are mostly those of Henry A. Holmes, who was Assistant, later Associate, Vice President for Finance and University Property Officer from 1986 through the 1990s.

Records include correspondence, field reports, bid documents, successful proposals, project plans, final reports, and other records related to construction and renovation projects undertaken by the University of North Carolina (System) General Administration. Projects represented in the records include additions and renovations to the General Administration building, the State Education Assistance Authority building, the University of North Carolina Television building, and the President of the University of North Carolina System's residence. Files are mostly those of Henry A. Holmes, who was Assistant, later Associate, Vice President for Finance and University Property Officer from 1986 through the 1990s. There are also a few files from the 1970s and 1980s that appear to have been kept by University Property Officers Robert G. Bourne and Allen S. Waters.

Records are arranged in the order in which they were received. Original file names, for the most part, have been retained.
